My research investigates how ecological interactions
organize aquatic ecosystems and shape their functioning
across spatial and temporal scales.
I am particularly interested in how organisms interact
with one another and their environment, and how these
interactions influence biodiversity, food-web structure,
energy flow, and ecosystem processes. By integrating
ecological theory, field experiments, and quantitative
approaches, I seek to connect individual-level mechanisms
with broader patterns of ecosystem organization.
A central goal of my research is to understand how
variation in environmental conditions and ecological
interactions influences the stability, resilience, and
functioning of freshwater ecosystems.
Through this work, I aim to develop a mechanistic
understanding of aquatic ecology that can inform
biodiversity conservation and the management of
freshwater resources.
